Kubota Introduces 1.6 Liter Spark Ignited Engine

Kubota is proud to introduce a 1.6 liter engine, its newest member in the spark ignited family. Currently Kubota offers a 0.74 liter and a 0.962 liter engine in its spark ignited line to which it has added the new 1.537 liter engine. The new WG1605 is available in gasoline, LPG and dual fuel. The WG1605 is a naturally aspirated engine with a bore and stroke of 79 x 78.4 mm. Below is a table of the various outputs available.

The engine is based on an industrial engine platform with the same footprint as the Kubota V1505 diesel engine and similar performance to the turbo. Kubota is the Manufacturer of Record (MOR). The engine offers very low vibration and is exceptionally quiet.

Some additional engine highlights are the following:

• Wire harness /ECU factory installed
• Hot tested at factory
• Full CAN Capabilities (SAE J1939)
• Electronic fuel injection
• Throttle control (electronic drive by wire)
• 3 Way Catalytic Converter
• Gear drive valve train (no belts or chains)
• Diagnostic port

Kubota’s new WG1605 spark ignited engine has the same proven reliability and clean performance as its diesel counterpart that customers expect from Kubota.

Kubota Introduces its V2403-CR-T and V2607-CR-T Engines for EPA Tier 4, EU Stage IIIB

Kubota has introduced two new common rail engines at the World of Concrete in Las Vegas. The V2403-CR-T and the V2607-CR-T engines that will both comply with the EPA Tier 4 and EU Stage IIIB emission regulations effective January 2013. The V2403-CR-T is part of Kubota’s 03 Series and the V2607-CR-T is part of Kubota’s 07 Series. Both of these engine models are turbo, 4-cylinder and direct injected.

The V2403-CR-T is rated at 48.6 kW at maximum speed of 2700 rpm. It is also offered at 39.6 kW at 2200 rpm and 43.2 at 2400 rpm. The V2607-CR-T is rated at 53 kW at a maximum speed of 2700 rpm. The V2607-CR-T is also available at 45 kW at 2200 rpm and 48 kW at 2400 rpm. All of the outputs are gross intermittent.

The V2403-CR-T and V2607-CR-T are fully electronic controlled engines that have the common rail system, diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and the diesel particulate filter (DPF). These components have made for a clean high performing engine that is more fuel efficient, quiet and durable. Kubota has kept the engine package compact and just slightly larger than the current models despite the after-treatment components that have been added.

Kubota’s new V2403-CR-T and V2607-CR-T diesel engines have the proven reliability and clean performance that customers expect from Kubota. Kubota’s full engine line up for 2013 will be announced in the near future.
