Giving Thanks by Giving Back: Kubota Kares Holiday Meal Packing with the Northern Illinois Food Bank
November 11, 2025

The holiday season is a time for gratitude, reflection, and community—and at Kubota Engine America, it’s also a time for service. Through Kubota Kares, our community service initiative, employees came together on November 5, 2025, to make a meaningful impact during our annual holiday volunteer event.
In partnership with the Northern Illinois Food Bank, our longtime food bank partner, Kubota volunteers helped pack 15,929 pounds of food, providing an estimated 13,274 meals to individuals and families in need. The effort was powered by 20 Kubota volunteers, all united by a shared goal: helping ensure no one goes without a meal during the holidays.
Kubota Kares in Action
Kubota Kares is built on the belief that strong communities thrive when people come together to support one another. Our holiday meal packing event is one of two volunteer initiatives we host each year—one during the summer and one during the holiday season—giving employees multiple opportunities to give back annually.
In addition to volunteering their time, Kubota Engine America also donated $10,000 to support hunger relief efforts, extending the impact of the day well beyond the packing tables. Together, the hands on service and financial contribution helped maximize support for the community at a critical time of year.
A Partnership Rooted in Commitment
Kubota’s partnership with the food bank began in 2018, and over the years it has grown into a cornerstone of our community engagement efforts. Each volunteer event strengthens that relationship and reinforces our long term commitment to fighting food insecurity.
By returning year after year, Kubota Kares helps create consistency—ensuring that support is not just seasonal, but sustained.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we reflect on the success of our 2025 holiday volunteer event, we’re already working toward our 2026 Kubota Kares volunteer initiatives, continuing the tradition of hosting both at least two service opportunities. These events are more than volunteer days—they’re reminders of what’s possible when people rally around a shared purpose.
At Kubota Engine America, community service is not an afterthought—it’s part of who we are. Through Kubota Kares, we remain committed to supporting our neighbors, strengthening partnerships, and making a difference one meal, one volunteer, and one community at a time.
