NASCAR race weekends demand precision, speed and absolute reliability from everything and everyone on pit road. This season, Trackhouse Racing put Kubota’s generator to the test by bringing the Kubota GL11000 Lowboy II generator into their pit operations, evaluating whether the dependable performance trusted across jobsites and industrial environments could hold steady under race-day pressure.
It didn’t take long to see the results.
At Darlington and in St. Louis
At Darlington Raceway, Trackhouse Racing rolled out the Kubota GL11000 for a full pit-road trial. The generator powered the team’s entire pit setup, from the data system guiding in-race decisions and timing equipment to large front-facing displays, without a single interruption.
Impressed by the unit’s quiet output and consistent performance, the team brought it to a second test at World Wide Technology Raceway in St. Louis, where it once again delivered flawless, stable power throughout the weekend.
Following back-to-back successful tests, Trackhouse Racing has committed to expanding its use of the GL11000. Beginning next season, each of the team’s three entries will operate using a dedicated Kubota generator, with an additional unit reserved as a backup, fully transitioning away from their previous power solution.
For Kubota Engine America, this shift represents a meaningful validation: a professional motorsports team choosing Kubota generators as their trusted power source when reliability matters most.
What Makes the GL11000 Stand Out
Engineered around the company’s SUPER MINI D722 diesel engine, the Kubota GL11000 packs quite the punch. Kubota engines are known for powerful outputs, reliable performance and a long service life.
The generator’s design directly supports the demands of pit-road performance:
- Compact, low-profile construction ideal for crowded pit lanes
- Lightweight yet durable build designed for mobile and stationary use
- One-side maintenance access for fast checks of oil, fuel, cooling and battery systems
- Low noise output supporting clear communication during high-pressure moments
- Clean, stable power delivery for sensitive digital systems and displays
- These features, already valued across construction, agriculture and industrial applications, translate seamlessly into motorsports, where uninterrupted power supports strategy, safety and communication.
From Worksites to Race Day
Whether it’s supporting equipment on worksites or within pit crews, Kubota Engine America’s generator lineup continues to demonstrate one consistent truth:
Reliability leads the way.
The GL11000’s performance with Trackhouse Racing underscores the strength of Kubota’s engineering. It’s power designed to deliver in real-world conditions, no matter the industry.
